'Church With No Magic' represents a band not afraid to risk it's hand for the sake of something new.

'Church With No Magic' from PVT, the band formerly known as Pivot, represents a more vocal-lead direction for the group and is arguably one of the most ambitious experimental rock albums to have emerged from their native Australia.

Recording this 10 track masterwork took the trio of musicians from Sydney to a basement studio in London that houses one of Europe's largest collections of vintage synthesizers - including the Yamaha CS80 famously used for Vangelis' 'Blade Runner' soundtrack - to a grandmother's music room in a 120 year old house in the countryside near Paris.

'Church With No Magic' is a truly modern-sounding effort that takes the band's music in directions both challenging and more accessible. It's a style that captures the contemporary struggle for sincerity, a saturation of communication and an excess of access in our world. Yet, despite its often sinister and mechanical facade, there still emerges a very human quality at the heart of it.
