2001's breezy Sound-Dust found Stereolab reining in some of their more sprawling, experimental tendencies for a taut and focussed art-pop collection, which featured the singles 'Captain Easychord' and 'Baby Lulu'. Sadly, it was to be the band's final album with singer and guitarist Mary Hansen, who was killed the following year in a cycling accident in London.
This new pressing uses the 2019 remasters, cut from the original 1/2" tapes by Bo Kondren at Calyx Mastering and overseen by Tim Gane.
