A departure from the sound of his last album - in particular the singles - Jake Bugg's new album 'Hearts That Strain' has a more laid back sound.

The anticipated new release was recorded in Nashville and produced by Grammy winner David Ferguson (for Sturgill Simpson's album last year), aided by Matt Sweeney, a collaborator on Jake's Rick Rubin Shangri La album.

Musicians on the album include Dan Auerbach whom Jake befriended whilst he was supporting The Black Keys in the US and The Memphis Boys, Bobby Woods and Gene Chrisman, who played onsuch greats as Dusty In Memphis (Dusty Springfield), Suspicious Minds and In The Ghetto (Elvis Presley).

Jake co-wrote 3 songs on the album with Dan, Matt and Ferg, writing the rest of the album himself. Singing duet with Jake on "Waiting" is Noah Cyrus, daughter of Billy Ray (who is a big fan and asked for the collaboration) and sister of Miley. The album was recorded in 3 weeks during 3 separate trips to Nashville.
