"...there is no doubt that Tuckwell's second EMI recording, released in 1972, has the advantage of more modern sound, and characteristically elegant and graceful playing from Sir Neville and his ASMF. The Romanze of No. 3, K447 and the Andante of No. 4 K495 both have a glorious lyrical flow, Tuckwell's timbre is rich and yet the rondos are delectably pointed and spontaneous-there is an attractive accelerando at the coda of the finale of No. 2, K417.
