Korn's vicious metallic attack is complemented by brutal sub-bass, grinding electro synths and hammering drum 'n' bass beats to create a whole new kind of "future metal".
Nu-metal pioneers Korn have never been afraid to continually reinvent themselves throughout their career, and on this, their tenth album, they have teamed up with a number of dubstep producers, the most well-known of whom is probably Noisia. The move is perhaps less surprising than it seems, as the American dubstep subgenre known as "brostep" has a much more aggressive sound than its UK counterpart and already appeals to a certain section of the metal audience.
Here, Korn's vicious metallic attack is complemented by brutal sub-bass, grinding electro synths and hammering drum 'n' bass beats to create a whole new kind of "future metal".
