From the moment they formed in 1986 this band from Boston, MA heralded a resurgence of guitar based indie rock that was a fresh breath in a time of over-produced MOR rock bands that were clogging the charts. Though they wouldn't have the same chart success of R.E.M. Pixies would go on to influence generations of musicians and still do to this day. This double LP collection shows why Kurt Cobain named them as one of his favourite bands. All killer, no filler.
