'That's Country' was undoubtedly one of New Zealand's highest rating and much loved live music television shows ever. Screening at prime time on Saturday nights it ran for an impressive 8 years from 1976 to 1983. In its final year it even went international, screening on Nashville's country music cable network.
Filmed entirely on location in the Christchurch Town Hall and hosted by entertainer Ray Columbus the show featured the cream of New Zealand's country music scene as well as regularly playing host to stars from the USA and Australia.
Finally, after nearly three decades this iconic show returns in a DVD+CD package featuring 22 memorable performances including the classic show opening and closing themes as well as the regular show favourite "The Rockabilly Medley", where the cast and backing group came together to pay tribute to the Rock'n'Roll greats. The package also includes the CD version of the show's music for the fans to enjoy.
