Former Belle & Sebastian singer Isobel Campbell and ex-Screaming Trees / The Twilight Singers / QOTSA collaborator Mark Lanegan return with their third album together.

'Hawk' is the third collaborative album between former Belle & Sebastian songbird Isobel Campbell and Screaming Trees / The Twilight Singers / Queens of the Stone Age collaborator Mark Lanegan. Like the two records before it, 'Hawk' draws inspiration from the sultry torch songs once performed by Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood. Unique to this recording is a solid list of guest appearances, however, and the duo covers two Townes Van Zandt songs to boot.

"James Iha lends tastefully bluesy guitar. Overall, 'Hawk' faithfully follows its predecessors' dusty Americana blueprint..."
-SPIN

"Campbell and Lanegan give themselves up to each song, creating a special, slow-burning intimacy."
-MOJO

"They have the sort of chemistry that nobody can fully explain. Their voices hang suspended in the air together, Campbell's feathery light and Lanegan's thick and downtrodden."
-PITCHFORK

"They sound like they have been singing together for a million years... this time they also manage to rock out with some more bluesy and electric tracks."
-CLASH

""Lately" offers an embarrassment of riches... it's a wonderfully uplifting finale to a finely conceived record, an eloquent testament to an unlikely partnership that's only now delivering its full potential."
-UNCUT
