'Danger Money' is a very worthy follow-up to the U.K.'s highly praised debut. The group became a pared down, more keyboard-orientated trio for this recording from 1978.
Second studio album from progressive rock supergroup U.K. - featuring Eddie Jobson (Roxy Music), John Wetton (King Crimson) and Terry Bozzio (Zappa). Originally released in 1978, it reached no. 45 on the Billboard album chart. This repackaged 30th anniversary edition has been personally re-mastered by Eddie Jobson.
"Following the departure of guitarist Allan Holdsworth, the second U.K. album also saw Terry Bozzio replace Bill Bruford on the drum stool. The group became a pared down, more keyboard-orientated trio for this sophomore recording.
'Danger Money' features exceptional synth and violin work by Eddie Jobson, while bassist / singer, John Wetton holds pretty much everything else together. Contributing all of the harmonic vocals, his powerful bass style was also an exciting match for Bozzio's stunning drum abilities, assuring plenty of action in the engine room.
With all songs co-written by Jobson and Wetton, 'Danger Money' is a very worthy follow-up to the group's highly praised debut, but it also proved to be the final studio offering from U.K."
