Debut album combining the golden years of ethiopique beats & jazz with the dub reggae styles of early '70s reggae groups like the Abyssinians + Mighty Diamonds, alongside a hint of Sun Ra!

Dub Colossus' debut album, 'In a Town Called Addis', brings together an extraordinary but little known African musical heritage... It was a "labour of love" recording that began in a makeshift studio in downtown Addis Ababa, before a journey back to the Real World studios in Bath was taken to capture for the first time ever in the U.K. some of Ethiopia's finest performers.

Produced by Dubulah, one half of the British group Temple of Sound, 'In a Town Called Addis' is a unique attempt to mix traditional East African music with experimental reggae sounds. From the most primitive recording context to one of the best in the world, this is an audio voyage, and a discovery of one of the most alluring, funky and seductive genres of African music.
