Trumpeter Herb Alpert was one of the most successful instrumental artists in pop history. He co-founded A&M in 1962 which became the world's biggest independent label.

Some of his greatest successes were "Spanish Flea", "The Lonely Bull" and "What Now My Love" (which won a Grammy Award in 1966).

Many of his albums went to #1 on the Billboard Album Chart including 'What Now My Love', 'Going Places' and 'Whipped Cream and Other Delights'.
