Pretty Odd

[ Warner Music / CD ]

Release Date: Monday 24 March 2008

This album sees Panic At The Disco embracing a melodic, classic rock-inspired aesthetic while still maintaining the visionary pop modernism that made its debut among the new millennium's most popular and successful releases.

'Pretty Odd' was recorded in Las Vegas' Studio at the Palms, with additional production and mixing at the world-renowned Abbey Road Studios in London. Produced by Grammy and Emmy Award-nominated arranger/composer Rob Mathes, the album sees Panic At The Disco embracing a melodic, classic rock-inspired aesthetic while still maintaining the visionary pop modernism that made its debut among the new millennium's most popular and successful releases.

Panic At The Disco quickly established itself as one of today's most popular and innovative young rock outfits. The Las Vegas-based band had only barely graduated high school before the September 2005 release of their debut album, 'A Fever You Can't Sweat Out' which reached platinum sales here in NZ.

'A Fever You Can't Sweat Out' debuted in the #1 spot on Billboard's "Top Heatseekers" chart of new and developing artists. From then on, it was virtually unstoppable, going on to achieve RIAA platinum certification for sales now exceeding 1.7 million.

Panic At The Disco also proved as adept on stage as they are in the studio, with an innovative and creative live show that earned rapturous responses from audiences and critics around the world. The band was on the road nearly non-stop from the release of 'A Fever You Can't Sweat Out' through late 2006 including headlining sold-out tours in North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
