Emigrate is a German metal band fronted by Richard Kruspe, the lead guitarist of Rammstein... Indeed, The music on Emigrate's self-titled debut does bear a resemblance to Rammstein's guitar-fueled ferocity, but there's a melodic accessibility here that gives 'Emigrate' a fresh sound. The driving "My World" is a case in point, as is the slinky "New York City" and the mid-tempo, atmospheric "Babe". However, Rammstein fans need not fear. Kruspe keeps the old-fashioned skull-crushing industrial quotient high on 'Emigrate'.
