Previously known for Dunedin bands Four White Kids in a Bentley and Wilson, this boy / girl duo's origins lie in taking traditional folk and pop structures and bringing them to life via a laptop and soundcard.

George and Queen are singer / songwriter duo Neil Newton and Immi Paterson; previously known for Dunedin bands Four White Kids in a Bentley and Wilson.

Having re-located to Auckland in 2004, this boy / girl duo's origins lie in taking traditional folk and pop structures and bringing them to life via a laptop and soundcard. Present day, and away from the band environment, this post-modern treatment has evolved into the full studio experience, the band having saved their pennies up for the high end experiment of having their own mixing desk. Fancy! The Result? Q&Q's debut album 'City'.

George and Queen are releasing their album on self-made record label Gone Quiet Records. In November 2006 their first single "Why Don't You" hit radio and was quickly added to the play lists of all student radio station throughout the country, as well as most regional stations. Kiwi FM listeners even voted it the second 'most popular new song'. In May of 2007 George and Queen released another successful single, "Didn't Mean it That Way".
