Piercing through the thick, dreadful and beautiful fog of 2005's 'Black Sheep Boy', Okkervil River brings to us an album that is completely up-tempo, poppish and still delightfully yummy...

Texan indie band Okkervil River formed in 1998, but it wasn't until 2005 that their career bloomed, with their highly regarded third full-length album, 'Black Sheep Boy'. Met with an overwhelming response, Okkervil River followed that up with an EP entitled 'Black Sheep Boy Appendix' on November 22, 2005.

Now Okkervil River return in style with 'The Stage Names', their fifth album.

"Without a doubt, this is "best of year" material - almost made me forget all the releases of 2007…"
