Born in Luxembourg in October 1966, Miguel Baselga began playing the piano at the age of six. He continued his musical education in Belgium at the Liège Royal Conservatoire, where he was awarded first prize for piano in 1985, before studying with Eduardo del Pueyo until the latter's death.
He has given recitals and appeared as a soloist with orchestras in numerous countries, and was invited to appear at the 92nd Street Y in New York. In 1996, on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the death of Manuel de Falla, he recorded the complete piano works of this composer (BIS-CD-773), receiving an excellent critical reception both nationally and internationally.
