Creating a broad-minded melting pot of musical cultures, genres & sounds by flawlessly fusing Latin, Cuban, jazz, funk, soul & big ol' beats, this is certain to ignite dancefloors the world over.
Diesler aka Jonathan Radford is a 20yr old producer from the UK who isn't afraid to let diversity do the talking. With a magpie-like ear for the best samples and a distinctive globe-trotting production style which ranges from funk-influenced beats to a more exotic breed of Latin-tinged dancefloor stompers, Diesler's musical output has been attracting a swarm of attention of late.
Early influences included David Holmes, Can and Andy Votel, while film was also a big factor, with the combination of score, sound effects and images paralleling the densely produced collage of sounds and beats found in his debut 'Diggin' It Somethin' Rotten'.
The album features the best of 30 tracks which Diesler has recorded and sent to the Tru Thoughts HQ. 'Sandcastles' was chosen by The Big Chill to soundtrack the video they played on the main stage to close their 10th anniversary celebrations. 'Burnley Wallet' and 'Redux' are already club anthems at Tru Thoughts' club night in Brighton and many more tracks illustrate Diesler's wide range.
Creating a broad-minded melting pot of musical cultures, genres and sounds by flawlessly fusing Latin, Cuban, jazz, funk, soul and big ol' beats, Diesler's 'Diggin' It Somethin' Rotten' is certain to ignite dancefloors the world over. Highly recommended.
"The new Diesler is very good as expected and number one in my chart!"
