Pavement are arguably one of the finest bands that criminally never quite crossed over to the mainstream. Their recordings during the '90s are among the classic albums of all time and the band are often name-checked by current groups searching for some kind of credibility. Various members in the group have splintered off and forged their own successful careers - singer and guitarist Stephen Malkmus' solo career and guitarist / singer Bob Nastanovich's band Preston School of Industry, in particular.
One of the outstanding groups of our time, Pavement were arguably at the height of their considerable powers when they recorded 'Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain'. Absolutely essential!
