Formed in 1994 in Issaquah, Washington, Modest Mouse draws comparisons to Death Cab For Cutie, Built To Spill & The Pixies.
Their album for 2004 (their sixth) was produced by Dennis Herring (Camper Van Beethoven, Throwing Muses, Cracker), and features the Dirty Dozen Brass Band and a track remixed by Dave Fridmann/The Flaming Lips.
The album debuted at #19 on the Billboard Chart in April 2004 and has sold over 300,000 copies.
