Debut album of Bach Concertos on Deutsche Grammophon by one of the finest young violinists.

"America's best young classical musician" - Time Magazine

"The American Hilary Hahn, only 23 years old, occupies a special position among today's violinists . . . She feels especially at home with Bach, and with astonishing ease presents the most intricate polyphony and chooses tempos that allow the melodic flow to develop naturally. In the matter of dynamics, too, Hahn brings off such undemonstrative and effective nuances that one would think she's already been engaged with this piece for decades."
Die Presse (Vienna), December 2002

"There is so much in Bach's music that needs to be explored if you are going to understand music at all."
Hilary Hahn

"She may still be a kid with innocence and joy, but she's a fiercely intelligent performer; a team player, a real chamber musician, who listens to her colleagues, frequently turning round to acknowledge them. I've never seen such actual duetting with the leader. And as for her bow-arm, when was up-bow spiccato more accurate or fast?"
The Independent (London), May 2003

Johann Sebastian Bach is the composer possibly closest to Hilary's heart and she regularly features him in encores at concerts.

The album features the Bach Violin Concertos in E major and A minor together with the Double Violin Concerto in D minor and the Double Violin and Oboe Concerto in C minor. Hilary's partners are the violinist Margaret Batjer, the oboist Alan Vogel, and the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Jeffrey Kahane.
