"I've been inspired by this project since Jack first phoned me with the musical concept. It seemed fitting to spotlight Tony Williams as Jack himself follows directly in the lineage of drum innovators. We each owe a debt to Tony for his genius, broad influence and sheer musicianship. Every time
I plug in with Jack and Larry, the result is a high point for me. Those two always know what's right in any musical situation and their creativity expands the possibilities of every tune. They are the best and bring out some of the best in me and for that, I'm completely grateful!
