Bad Religion
Against the Grain

[ Epitaph Records / CD ]

Release Date: Monday 24 May 2004

Digitally re-mastered re-issue. Often cited as the gem of Bad Religion's early releases, 1990's 'Against The Grain' remains one of their most vital and influential efforts.

Bad Religion has been stunning the music world by mixing melody, attitude and speed since 1980. In an era where major labels refused to consider American punk groups, Brett Gurewitz formed the incredibly successful Epitaph Records as a medium for their message

Bad Religion's first LP, 1982's 'How Could Hell Be Any Worse', helped define the Southern California punk sound. By 1987, with guitarist Greg Hetson of the iconic Circle Jerks in the fold, Bad Religion crafted the epic 'Suffer', which is often credited for revitalizing the punk movement of the late eighties. The acclaimed albums 89's 'No Control', 90's 'Against The Grain' and 92's 'Generator' followed.

Often cited as the gem of Bad Religion's early releases, 1990's 'Against The Grain' remains one of their most vital and influential efforts.

Bad Religion delivers a collection of self-produced, exuberant, and melodic hardcore with overdriving power. Includes the showstopper, "21st Century Digital Boy" plus 16 more crucial cuts.
